Are you a private sector worker, pensioner or close to retirement age and is your situation as follows?
1) Why do I have to make a decision about my pension now......I still have loads of years to go....don't I?
2) Pensions are far too complicated to understand and I'm sure I am well provided for in the future....I'll look into it closer to the time.
3) I'm far too young to think about retirement now....it's a long way away
4) I don't want to work past 55....I'm sure I'll be alright and my pension will cover it.

How long was it since you left school or did your GSCE's? How quickly have your kids grown up, how long ago since you undertook your driving test or last had to show your ID to enter a bar? So think about it....doesn't time fly? Before you know it another 10, 15 or 20 years will have gone by and where will you be? Will you be travelling around seeing the world, taking holidays of a lifetime with your hard earned cash and taking in new experiences or will you be struggling to make ends meet and expected to survive off a £385 monthly pension? (£577 if you are married).
With that level of pension can you afford to pay your mortgage, rent, rates, service charges, electricity, water, telephone, food shopping or any other eventuality that may come your way?
We need a fairer system so that our older family members and eventually YOU can afford to retire with the level of dignity that should be afforded to everyone after a long working career irrespective of trade, job or line of work.
Private sector workers are not getting a fair deal and we need to ask for this change NOW!
